Just a few years ago, it seemed that Katy Perry would work a different color of the rainbow in her layers every week; and although she's been sticking to a somewhat natural spectrum as of late, each of her hairstyles proves to be anything but boring.
Last week, the star chopped her ombre highlights into a sleek, chin-length bob, and we love how the inky black tone makes the effect even more graphic against her fair complexion. Funny enough, the gateway hue to her running list of shades was actually a box of a similar color she picked up when she was 15, following a failed attempt at platinum. "It turned out not so great, so I bought a box of black dye from Rite Aid," she previously told InStyle. "I've had a colorful life ever since." That she has, and judging by her track record, we have a feeling she isn't quite done experimenting yet.
